The course of Fisheries as per week 13/2016

Blue whiting
The main volume was caught in the area close to St. Kilda. One catch was taken in the vicinity of Porcupine, while two catches were taken further north in the EU zone, - and - a more tiny catch (250 MT) was taken near the Faroe Islands. The total catch quantity was delivered in Norway and Denmark.
The prices have tended somewhat down lately.

Mackerel
The catching of mackerel being penned-in has started with 8 MT last week. The size is highly variable, from 160 - 350 g. So far just one penned-in catch is sold.

Horse mackerel
Two penned-in catches totalling 34 MT from Tysvær were sold last week to a reasonable price.

Atlanto Scandic herring
A small penned-in catch (800 kg), average weight 270 g, were taken near Bømlo Island last week and sold at minimum price.
