    The course of the Fisheries as per week 35/2014

    Still mackerel being caught in northern waters, trolling has started at the west coast and the season's first purse seiner catches of mackerel are registered. - In addition a lot of North Sea herring are delivered in Norway from foreign vessels.

    New minimum prices for mackerel for consumption purposes

    FHL and Norges Sildesalgslag agreed today on a new set of minimum prices for mackerel delivered for human consumption.

    It has been a very good week for mackerel catching in addition to good catches of ocean sprat - and - also good availability of North Sea herring just off Peter Head.

    The course of the Fisheries as per week 39/2014

    Due to absence last week, we were not able to produce the week 38 report. Here is last week's report:

    More than 30.000 MT of mackerel during three days, but a storm stopped further catching. Some 5.000 MT of different species for reduction purposes and fairly good catching of coastal sprat in Sogn County.
