January 1/1/1900 12:00:00 AM The course of the Fisheries as per week 1/2015 A Happy New Year to everyone reading "The course of Fisheries"! It has been a quiet start for the pelagic fisheries into 2015. The vessels aiming for ocean sprat were hampered by stormy weather during the first days of the New Year, while the catching of Atlanto Scandic herring up north has not yet got started. 1/1/1900 12:00:00 AM The course of the Fisheries as per week 2/2015 The Atlanto Scandic herring has started its migration southwards and stormy weather hampered activity in more southerly waters. 1/1/1900 12:00:00 AM The course of the Fisheries as per week 3/2015 Last week was not dominated by high activity and consequently just low volumes were registered when it comes to Atlanto Scandic herring. In the North Sea the weather has been hampering the activities most of the week - both for herring and mackerel. The first vessels are now heading for Iceland and the capelin season - and the first vessel is also now aiming for the blue whiting heading west. 1/1/1900 12:00:00 AM The course of the Fisheries as per week 4/2015 Close to 5.000 MT of capelin during the first week in Icelandic waters and steady for the Atlanto Scandic herring up north. Some vessels delivered North Sea herring, foreign vessels delivered mackerel, - while from the far west there is so far no reports of the blue whiting yet.
