Introductory minimum price for north sea herring in 2025

To fishermen and buyers of north sea herring for consumption.

The buyer organizations and Norges Sildesalgslag have agreed to establish a starting minimum price of NOK 6.10 per kg (Group 1) for North Sea herring, effective from Monday, April 28, 2025.

The starting minimum price is identical to the starting minimum price for North Sea herring in both 2023 and 2024.

The dynamic minimum price model will further regulate the minimum price as long as the minimum quantity of 5,000 tons is reached within a fourteen-day period.

Norges Sildesalgslag wishes the fishermen and buyers good luck with the season.
