The course of the fisheries per week 17 - 2025

The reduced activity in the fishing fields means that this week's fishing report will be brief.

Blue Whiting: 
It has been a relatively quiet week in the Faroe Islands zone. 11,030 tons have been reported from four boats, two Norwegian and two foreign, while one boat has fished blue whiting on the "Edge". The fishery has been characterized by long hauls, and we expect little activity in this fishery in the coming week.

Mackerel:
For fresh mackerel, nearly 7 tons have been fished from seven boats in Vestland. The sizes vary from 300 grams to 600 grams, so the mackerel is of good size.
